Hello, world!
(Hello, arianhwyvar!..)

I haven't updated in a long time. Since then, there were many things.

- English country dancing for the first time, in Harvard Square, at a dance my sister goes to and recommended to me. It was super fun! Everyone was very friendly. I like English Country better than contra because it's like contra crossed with ballroom -- it's more dancy, in a way more precise, and I was thrilled by the places a little bit of waltzing came in, mostly because I can (at least somewhat) do that now. The teaching was very good -- a good progression of additional steps through the 2 hours. I'm going back tonight.

- Foamies nomination judging. Now I understand how cludgy the producing of the final nominees list is. But I got to hear many excellent stories, and that is, after all, much of the point.

- ProCon! ProCon was excellent. I wore costumes, ballroom danced, belly danced, went to the recycling center for the first time with xeph and noradannan, saw people I don't see nearly enough, and ate tasty food. The Battle Royale daytime larp was surprisingly awesome -- hated the movie, quite enjoyed the larp. Especially the end, even though I was but audience. Spontaneous applause from all around the room as darkwhimsy and hilariarex ended their last scene.

- Caribouuuuu, a strange and neat one-shot run by iralith.

- more socialness.

- lots of work. Not enough sleep. Back and neck getting out of line again. But as of two days ago, I got back on the wagon. I followed my chiropractor's orders and took a long epsom salts soak, and it was like having my own spa. I should do that when I'm crazy stressed.

- BPAL. I have imps now! I bought a bunch from people at the BPAL forums, received them really fast, and have been trying one or two a day. Still haven't found anything that's exactly what I'm looking for, but I've only had one that completely didn't work on me, and many that I want to try again.

My place is REMOTELY walkable, but picking you up makes a lot more sense, since it's probably about a mile or two. I don't know the train schedule or when you get out of work...when's good for you?

Hm - I have realized I'm seeing the chiropractor at 5, so the earliest train I could hope to take gets to Sharon at 7:23. If I happen to miss that train, I can give you a call, and we can decide whether it would be better for me to take the next one (which gets to Sharon at 8:47, giving us about an hour before I'd have to catch the last train north), or delay until another time.

Would that work?

That sounds fine, though if you missed the 7:23 train we'd probably just want to reschedule... or we can pick another day when you'll have more time, if you'd like. Either way!

Well, let's give it a try, since getting to sharon at 7:23 I think would be fine. If something goes wrong with that plan, though, I can call you right away and we can reschedule.
