Upcoming shows, consignment, and earrings
Nov. 12th, 2009 04:49 pmThis weekend, I'll have several pieces in the art show at the New England Fan Experience in Boston. Most of them will be things not yet seen here, including a Cthulhu key, another writer's charm key, and more keys with brass stampings. I'll post photos of the new stuff eventually -- I'm still about two key lots behind.
November 28 and 29, I'll be exhibiting at the Harvard Square Holiday Fair (yep, the Church Street Church Craft Fair! though the website is still showing the 2008 vendors). That's Thanksgiving weekend.
I've entered the new and exciting world of consignment: in addition to the holiday store at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, which is open through December 23, my wire swirl earrings were accepted at NOA, a craft gallery with locations in Groton and West Concord (across the street from Evan's chiropractic office).
I've been making lots of peacock earrings in various colors: earth peacocks, fire peacocks, water peacocks, pink peacocks.
There are lots more on the earrings page. I've started listing the photos of the pieces that are currently away on consignment after the currently available ones, before the past work section.
Also, a pair of crescent moon and star earrings:

The down side to being accepted for consignment is that I've had to raise my retail prices on the earrings for sales I make directly, so as to not undercut the gallery. Personal friends and family members still get a discount, though, so it's worth checking with me on the price if you want to make a direct purchase. And future special sales are not impossible, depending on how things go.
